How to Make a Worm Bin

1. Gather supplies: a (half) pound of worms, a big storage bin and some shredded newspaper.

2. Punch holes for ventilation.

3. Smile! This is fun!

4. Mist the bedding.

5. Dump worms into bin, underneath the bedding.

6. Feed the worms! They eat produce, tea leaves and coffee grinds. (It's faster to chop your food into bits - we learned this a few weeks later!)

Done! (Top with dry bedding to keep worms down where they belong.)

Mike studied up on the process and cheered me on as I moved along.

Trixie sits pretty.

Basil in our garden.

THE monster spider. Lordy Lord - this thing was HUGE. Probably pregnant.
