Homecoming: Day 1 (ish)

It's hard to say what part of which day was day one - the jet lag is pretty fierce coming from China to the States. I was 16 hours ahead when I was in China - which means that despite almost a FULL night and day of travel, I arrived home on the same day I left, an hour sooner than I left. Pretty wild, huh?

So - the NEXT night - I got my babies back! We met at Andrew's Holiday program at his school - both boys were so snuggly and smiley when they saw me. Matthew looked at me almost like I was a ghost - and almost hesitated for a split second, but then jumped up to me and didn't leave my arms for days! :)

Andrew's program was so sweet - I loved seeing the pride on his face. He's so musical and so outgoing - a perfect combonation for stage presence for these kinds of things! Look at my handsome boy, all dressed up :)

When we got home, despite everyone's excitement and need for an early bedtime, we dug into the gifts I brought home for them from China. Matthew had requested "10 pwesents - as many as fingahs as I have" - so, 10 presents it was! (Maybe even more!) Among Matthew's favorites were his plush Tom & Jerry dolls - SO glad I didn't pass these guys up! I hoped they'd be a hit, and they were :)

Whew! Nothing is more relieving that having my babies back in my arms!
